  • Equipped with specialized flail cutters to ream hard deposits calcite & protruding laterals
  • Uses; wastewater collection systems, storm water drainage systems, lift stations, manholes and catch basins
  • Vacuum excavate keyways for property line curb stops
  • Hydraulic cleaning, flushing, flailing, reaming do not cause structural damage to the existing pipe

FLUSHER TRUCK (SMALL DIAMETER PIPE)

  • High pressure clean small diameter pipe pipelines from 100mm to 300mm
  • Clean lateral piping prior to pipe rehabilitation
  • Commercial use for the cleaning of underground sanitary & storm drainage systems

ROBOTIC CUTTERS

  • Robotic articulating unit guided by CCTV monitoring permits precise removal of hard deposits; calcite, concrete, lime, tree roots
  • Defective off-set joints can be smoothed by robot cutters
  • Protruding laterals can be trimmed back flush with the interior of the existing pipe
  • Exposed or protruding gaskets can be removed
  • Used to complete pipe preparation for rehabilitation, if identified that flails or reamers may damage existing pipe
  • Reinstatement of lateral connections after lining
  • Mechanical method of cutting deposits from inside the pipeline is not disruptive and yields immediate restoration of pipe flow capacity

  PIPELINE REHABILITATION

MANHOLE CONDITION ASSESSMENT & REHABILITATION

  • Perform manhole entry to conduct assessment of maintenance hole conditions
  • Formal report with maintenance hole schematic, plan & elevation dimensions
  • Structural rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer manholes to stop infiltration, re-grout inlet and outlet piping, build or renovate benching (repair manhole defects)
  • Injection holes drilled through manhole wall to intersect cracks and joints, to install sealing materials (hydraulic cement, epoxy or polyester bonders) to fill cracks, joints, voids and honeycombed areas

CIPP SPOT REPAIRS

  • Spot sewer reconstruction used to repair isolated defects in sanitary and storm pipes, forming a structural repair from inside the pipe
  • Quick & effective method to eliminate active infiltration sources without excavation
  • Economical since cost of repair is isolated to defective area only
  • Repair leaking, separated &/ or displaced joints with root intrusion
  • Repair longitudinal & circumferential cracks, fractures & small pipe holes with a permanent structural repair between two access points
  • Provides a seal within the pipe against infiltration and exfiltration

CHEMICAL GROUTING AND SEALING

  • Filling of the annular space between the host pipe and the carrier pipe
  • Effective non structural, time proven process for stopping groundwater infiltration into mainline joints, service connections and manholes
  • Chemical grout is injected into leaking joints & circumferential defects from within pipe
  • Quick and inexpensive procedure that is not disruptive to the surrounding area or sewer system and requires no excavation
  • Lateral injection packers allow chemical grout to be injected at service connections, and through cracks and joints in up to 6 metres within the lateral line
  • Used for manhole joint sealing

MAXLINER LATERAL SYSTEM

  • Used for the reconstruction of existing lateral sanitary sewer lines without excavation, by forming a new pipe within an existing deteriorated pipe, that has generally maintained its' original shape
  • Capable of short liner of 2m starting at the main sewer & extending to the full length of the service lateral beginning at the building main clean out 18m to 20m
  • Engineered for straight pipes, curved pipes or pipes with changing diameter
  • End result is a PVC smooth, continuous liner with no joints & seamless from end to end

BEROLINA-LINER SYSTEM

  • Ultra-violet (UV) light cured in place pipe (CIPP) full length lining system
  • Used for the rehabilitation of gravity pipes with internal diameters 150mm to 1000mm and egg shaped pipe between 200x300mm (DN250equivalent) to 700x1050mm (DN900mm equivalent)
  • System comprises a glass reinforced woven sleeve that is impregnated with a UV cure polyester or vinylester resin to provide optimum reinforcement
  • High structural strength and performance
  • Quick set-up, installation and completion process
  • No requirement for process water

PIPEBURSTING

  • Replaces a sewer by breaking & displacing the existing piping and installing a replacement pipe in the void created
  • System uses a pneumatic, hydraulic, or static bursting unit to split and break up the existing pipe, compressing the materials into the surrounding soil as it progresses
  • New replacement pipe is simultaneously pulled or pushed with the bursting head to fill the void created
  • Upsizing to about 30 percent greater than the original pipe diameter is possible
  • Maximum flow capacity of the existing pipe is maintained and can increase substantially with the insertion of a larger diameter pipe
  • Preferred solution for high profile areas; less surface disruption to surrounding business and the environment

SLIPLINING

  • Insertion of flexible liners directly into the sewer; either continuous or jointed discrete lengths of pipe are pulled or pushed through the existing pipe
  • Requires excavation of an insertion pit where the slipliner is inserted into the existing pipe
  • Creates a new pipe inside the old sewer without a complete excavation; sliplined pipe is then reconnected to the existing sewer at both ends
  • PVC and HDPE (high density polyethylene) pipe are primarily used; best for pipes ranging from 200mm to 2400mm diameter
  • Higher production rates, minimal disturbance to other utilities, reduced level of site restoration

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

  • Effective technique for the installation of pipelines and other utilities in sensitive or congested areas
  • Achieved by utilizing a hydraulic operated drilling machine and a guidance device allowing the operator to control the drill head direction
  • Benefit of this method is that it does not require a host pipe as a conduit from both access points; eliminating the need for open cut trenching and shut down of production lines
  • Fast, low cost and low impact on the environment

  PIPELINE TESTING

LOW PRESSURE AIR TESTING

  • New gravity sewer pipelines
  • Testing required before final acceptance of pipelines and service lines by municipalities
  • Procedure conforms to ASTM standard
  • Identify problem joints or defective pipe

MANDREL TESTING

  • Used on critical pipelines to verify the quality of installation
  • Mandrel is a ball plug-shaped object that is passed through a pipeline to ensure that the minimum acceptable diameter is maintained throughout

REROUNDING

  • Process that involves the insertion of an expansion device into a distorted pipe to return it to a circular cross section
  • Removal of deflection in pipes that have failed mandrel test
  • Increase pipeline capacity

JOINT TESTING

  • Testing joints of installed precast concrete pipe sewer lines to demonstrate the integrity of the joint and the construction procedures
  • Identify sewer pipe joints that are defective and that can be successfully sealed by the internal pipe joints sealing process

SMOKE TESTING

  • Inflow is leading cause of collection system overflows
  • Identifies direct connections between sources of inflow and the sanitary sewer system
  • Simple, inexpensive operation that quickly gives you required information
  • Identifies the location of exfiltration

DYE TESTING

  • Identifies specific inflow points; line segments that exhibited potential inflow sources during smoke testing are evaluated with dye
  • Dyed water is introduced into or around the identified sources, simultaneously the line segments downstream of the source are video inspected
  • Determine the direction of flow or to confirm lateral connections
  • Determine direction and path of effluent flow
